Cottenham village litter pick Saturday 13 January 2018 at 2pm

Cottenham Village Litter PickCottenham village winter litter pick will take place on Saturday 13 January 2018, assembling at Cottenham Village Hall (at the Recreation Ground on Lambs Lane) at 2pm. Refreshments will be served from 4pm. For all our litter pick events, children may take part provided they are under the close supervision of a responsible adult. Equipment will be provided but please wear suitable clothing for the weather; we will still go ahead if it rains (but not if snow is lying on the ground ).

It is a great help if we know in advance how many people might be taking part, so please let us know, preferably by emailing Peter Pilbeam on pgp1@hermes.cam.ac.uk or phoning the Cottenham Parish Clerk on 07503 328401.

Bluebell Planting – Cottenham

As part of the enhancements to WARG Field, Cottenham Parish Council are looking for volunteers to help plant up to 500 English bluebell bulbs onĀ Saturday 30th September from 10am at WARG Field off Histon Road. You can do as much or as little as you like but many hands make light work! The event is suitable for children to join in too so they can leave a legacy to be enjoyed for years to come (must be accompanied by an adult). Please bring a trowel and wear suitable clothing.

During the morning we will also be holding a brief dedication ceremony to thank the 4 landowners who gifted the field to the residents of Cottenham.

For more information please contact Jo Brook clerk@cottenhampc.org.uk or phone 07503 328401 or see www.cottenhampc.org.uk

There is no parking at the site so cycling or walking is recommended.
